oh the places I never seem to go

So, I've been absent from this blog for some time now. Or, at least, I've been absent from the public spaces of this blog because of all the freaking site maintenance I've had to do. I've upgraded to the latest version of Drupal and had all kinds of issues with updating modules, etc. Before upgrading, I decided to switch to WordPress and after learning the interface, relearning php (because WP doesn't have the slick GUI that Drupal does), editing themes, reviewing plugins, and basically spending way too much time reading about ways to use WordPress and not enough time actually blogging, I've decided to come back to Drupal, my first CMS love. Oh how I wish I'd never left.

My other excuse-- I have four other blogs that I must post to: three classes that I'm taking and one that I'm teaching. With all that blogging there seems to be no time for this blog [pause for dramatic effect] so, I've decided to republish some of my posts from those blogs here. I won't post them all but I think that some are worth including here and since only one of the sites that I'm posting to is actually publicly accesible, this re-posting will enable public viewing of my content. The class that I am currently taking that is publicly accessible is English 680V: Visual Rhetoric and I highly recommend visiting it and reading the posts by the other contributors.
